Multiplicity of cues and functions in prosody
In this special collection, we take stock of the latest theoretical developments in multidimensional prosody research. The main challenge for prosody research today is to develop an integrated approach that encompasses both the complexity of the interplay of different types of prosodic cues and the multiplicity of functions they signal. In this special collection, we take stock of the latest theoretical developments in multidimensional prosody research. Papers include selected contributions from the first ‘Phonetics and Phonology in Europe’ (PaPE) conference, held in Cambridge (UK) in June 2015. The collection has been edited by Adrian Leemann and Brechtje Post. See the editorial for an overview and discussion of the collection.
